Horizons in noncompact fill-ins of nonnegative scalar curvature

Differential Geometry 2025-12-22 v1 General Relativity and Quantum Cosmology

Abstract

Given a complete Riemannian metric of nonnegative scalar curvature on Σ×(,0]\Sigma \times (-\infty, 0 ] , where Σ\Sigma denotes a 22-sphere, we exhibit conditions that imply the existence of a closed minimal surface homologous to the boundary.
