Higher dimensional algebras via colored PROPs

Abstract

Starting from any unital colored PROP PP, we define a category P(P)P(P) of shapes called PP-propertopes. Presheaves on P(P)P(P) are called PP-propertopic sets. For 0n0 \leq n \leq \infty we define and study nn-time categorified PP-algebras as PP-propertopic sets with some lifting properties. Taking appropriate PROPs PP, we obtain higher categorical versions of polycategories, 2-fold monoidal categories, topological quantum field theories, and so on.
