Gradient Flow Coupling in the SU(2) gauge theory with two adjoint fermions

High Energy Physics - Lattice 2016-05-31 v2

Abstract

We study SU(2) gauge theory with two fermion flavors in the adjoint representation. Using a clover improved HEX smeared action and the gradient flow running coupling allows us to simulate with larger lattice size than before. We find an infrared fixed point after a continuum extrapolation in the range 4.5g254.5 \lesssim g^{*2} \lesssim 5. We also measure the mass anomalous dimension and find the value 0.25γ0.28 0.25 \lesssim \gamma^* \lesssim 0.28 at the fixed point.
