Genuinely ramified maps and stability of pulled-back parabolic bundles

Algebraic Geometry 2022-04-12 v2

Abstract

Let f:XYf : X \rightarrow Y be a genuinely ramified map between irreducible smooth projective curves defined over an algebraically closed field. Let PP be a branch data on YY such that P(y)P(y) and Bf(y)B_f(y) where BfB_f is branch data for ff are linearly disjoint for every y,Yy \in, Y. Further assume that either PP is tame or ff is Galois. Then the pullback, by ff, of any stable parabolic bundle on YY with respect to PP is actually a stable parabolic bundle on XX with respect to fPf^*P.
