Generic extensions and generic Polynomials for multiplicative groups

Abstract

Let A\mathcal{A} be a finite-dimensional algebra over a finite field Fq\mathbf{F}_q and let G=A×G=\mathcal{A}^\times be the multiplicative group of A\mathcal{A}. In this paper, we construct explicitly a generic Galois GG-extension S/RS/R, where RR is a localized polynomial ring over Fq\mathbf{F}_q, and an explicit generic polynomial for GG in dimFq(A)\dim_{\mathbf{F}_q}(\mathcal{A}) parameters.
