Abstract
The bilinear equations of the -component KP and BKP hierarchies and a corresponding extended Miwa transformation allow us to generate quadrilateral and circular lattices from conjugate and orthogonal nets, respectively. The main geometrical objects are expressed in terms of Baker functions.
