Generalized tournament matrices with the same principal minors

Combinatorics 2021-05-07 v1

Abstract

A generalized tournament matrix MM is a nonnegative matrix that satisfies M+Mt=JIM+M^{t}=J-I, where JJ is the all ones matrix and II is the identity matrix. In this paper, a characterization of generalized tournament matrices with the same principal minors of orders 22, 33, and 44 is given. In particular, it is proven that the principal minors of orders 22, 33, and 44 determine the rest of the principal minors.
