Generalized Jiang and Gottlieb groups

Abstract

Given a map f ⁣:XYf\colon X \to Y, we extend a Gottlieb's result to the generalized Gottlieb group Gf(Y,f(x0))G^f(Y,f(x_0)) and show that the canonical isomorphism π1(Y,f(x0))D(Y)\pi_1(Y,f(x_0))\xrightarrow{\approx}\mathcal{D}(Y) restricts to an isomorphism Gf(Y,f(x0))Df~0(Y)G^f(Y,f(x_0))\xrightarrow{\approx}\mathcal{D}^{\tilde{f}_0}(Y), where Df~0(Y)\mathcal{D}^{\tilde{f}_0}(Y) is some subset of the group D(Y)\mathcal{D}(Y) of deck transformations of YY for a fixed lifting f~0\tilde{f}_0 of ff with respect to universal coverings of XX and YY, respectively.
