Four Fermion processes at LEP II

High Energy Physics - Experiment 2007-05-23 v1

Abstract

In its second phase, LEP has given the unique opportunity to study four fermion processes never observed before. This papers deals with a preliminary study of WWWW, WeνWe\nu, ZZZZ and ZγZ\gamma^\star production in e+ee^+e^- collisions. Measurement results on WWWW cross section, WW branching fractions, WWVWWV (V=Z/γV=Z/\gamma) anomalous couplings and WW average polarization in WWWW events are presented. Moreover cross section measurements for WeνWe\nu, ZZZZ and ZγZ\gamma^\star production and limits on ZZZZZZ and ZZγZZ\gamma anomalous couplings are reported. All the results are in good agreement with the Standard Model expectations.
