Abstract

Corrections of orders α5\alpha^5 and α6\alpha^6 are calculated in the fine structure interval ΔEfs=E(2P3/2)E(2P1/2)\Delta E^{fs}=E(2P_{3/2})-E(2P_{1/2}) and in the hyperfine structure of the energy levels 2P1/22P_{1/2} and 2P3/22P_{3/2} in muonic hydrogen. The obtained numerical values ΔEfs=8352.08μeV\Delta E^{fs}= 8352.08 \mu eV, ΔE~hfs(2P1/2)=7964.36μeV\Delta \tilde E^{hfs}(2P_{1/2})=7964.36 \mu eV, ΔE~hfs(2P3/2)=3392.59μeV\Delta \tilde E^{hfs}(2P_{3/2})=3392.59 \mu eV can be considered as a reliable estimate for the comparison with corresponding experimental data and for the extraction of the experimental value of the Lamb shift (2P2S)(2P-2S) in muonic hydrogen.
