Fibered 3-manifolds with unique incompressible surfaces

Abstract

We present a family MgM_g of fibered hyperbolic 3-manifolds whose fibre FgF_g is the unique connected incompressible surface and the genus g2g \geq 2 of FgF_g can be arbitrary. This answers a question of Agol.
