Fano varieties with high degree

Abstract

For any positive integer kk and any integer nn large enough, we construct a Fano variety XX with Picard number kk and dimension nn such that ((KX)n)1/n((-K_X)^n)^{1/n} grows like nk/(logn)k1n^k/(\log n)^{k-1}.
