Exponential volume limits

Abstract

Let MM be a dd-dimensional closed Riemannian manifold, let fDiff1+β(M)f\in\mathrm{Diff}^{1+\beta}(M), and denote by mm the Riemannian volume form of MM. We prove that if mfnnμm\circ f^{-n}\xrightarrow[n\to\infty]{}\mu exponentially fast, then μ\mu is an SRB measure.
