Existence and Blow-up for Non-autonomous Scalar Conservation Laws With Viscosity

Analysis of PDEs 2023-11-17 v1

Abstract

We consider a question posed in [GSZZ22], namely the blow-up of the PDE ut+(b(t,x)u1+k)x=uxxu_t + (b(t,x) u^{1+k})_x = u_{xx} when bb is uniformly bounded, Lipschitz and k=2k = 2. We give a complete answer to the behavior of solutions when bb belongs to the Lorentz spaces bLp,b \in L^{p,\infty}, p(2,]p \in (2,\infty], or bxLp,b_x \in L^{p,\infty}, p(1,]p \in (1,\infty].
