Equivariant formality of isotropy actions on homogeneous spaces defined by Lie group automorphisms

Abstract

We show that the isotropy action of a homogeneous space G/KG/K, where GG and KK are compact, connected Lie groups and KK is defined by an automorphism on GG, is equivariantly formal and that (G,K)(G, K) is a Cartan pair.
