Electroweak Measurements and Top Quark Mass Limits

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology 2007-05-23 v1

Abstract

The agreement of electroweak measurements with theory places limits on the masses of the top quark and the WW boson. It is shown how these limits arise and what constraints various measurements (particularly a top quark mass determination) would provide on the theory. The degree to which present and future measurements can constrain the Higgs boson mass is examined.
