Distinguished representations of $GL(n,\mathbb{C})$

Representation Theory 2013-01-01 v1

Abstract

Let VV be a GLn(R)GL_n(\mathbb{R})-distinguished, irreducible, admissible representation of GLn(C)GL_n(\mathbb{C}). We prove that any continuous linear functional on VV, which is invariant under the action of the real mirabolic subgroup, is automatically GLn(R)GL_n(\mathbb{R})-invariant.
