Diophantine Approximation with Piatetski-Shapiro Primes

Abstract

We prove that for every irrational number α\alpha, real number β\beta, real number cc satisfying 1<c<9/81<c<9/8 and positive real number θ\theta satisfying θ<(9/c8)/10\theta<(9/c-8)/10, there exist infinitely many primes of the form p=[nc]p=\left[n^c\right] with nNn\in \mathbb{N} such that αp<pθ||\alpha p||<p^{-\theta}.
