Decomposing the vertex set of a hypercube into isomorphic subgraphs

Abstract

Let GG be an induced subgraph of the hypercube QkQ_k for some kk. We show that if G|G| is a power of 22 then, for sufficiciently large nn, the vertex set of QnQ_n can be partitioned into induced copies of GG. This answers a question of Offner. In fact, we prove a stronger statement: if XX is a subset of {0,1}k\{0,1\}^k for some kk and if X|X| is a power of 22, then, for sufficiently large nn, {0,1}n\{0,1\}^n can be partitioned into isometric copies of XX.
