Abstract

C ⁣PC\!P violation in baryon decay processes is still undiscovered to date. We present a general analysis of the decay-angular-distributions and the corresponding C ⁣PC\!P asymmetries in cascade decays of the type HR(ab)c\mathbb{H}\to R(\to ab) c, where H\mathbb{H} is a heavy hadron that decays through weak interactions HRc\mathbb{H}\to R c, and the resonance RR decays strongly via RabR\to ab. Based on the analysis, we propose to search for C ⁣PC\!P violation in the decay-angular-distributions in the cascade decay processes BBM{\mathbb{B}}\to \mathcal{B} M, with B\mathcal{B} or MM subsequently decaying through strong interactions, where B{\mathbb{B}} is the mother baryon, B\mathcal{B} or MM are the daughter baryon and meson, respectively, and MM has to be spin-nonzero. We also present some typical decay channels in which the search for such kinds of C ⁣PC\!P asymmetries can be performed.
