Abstract
The use of an unfolding procedure is proposed as an alternative method of extracting the boson mass from the data measured at LEP2, which may improve the accuracy of this measurement. The benefits of the direct unfolding method based on the Singular Value Decomposition of the response matrix are demonstrated on the example of W mass determination from the charged lepton energy spectra.
