Complete angular analysis of the decay cascade $B \rightarrow D^{**}( \rightarrow D^*(\rightarrow D \pi) + \pi) + W(\rightarrow l \nu)$

Abstract

We develop a general algorithm for describing angular decay distributions in cascade decay chains of arbitrary length. The general algorithm is used to study joint angular decay distributions for the cascade decay BD(D(Dπ)+π)+W(lν)B\rightarrow D^{**}( \rightarrow D^*(\rightarrow D \pi)+\pi) + W(\rightarrow l\nu) where the DD^{**} is a generic PP-wave charm meson state. Lepton mass effects are fully incorporated
