Abstract
Dass, Qureshi, and Sheel conjecture that the lower bound in the Heisenberg-Robertson uncertainty relation cannot be reached in mixed states. The conjecture is wrong.

The simple counter example given in the first version should have settled the case, but it didn't. The extended second version gives two more counter examples and exhibits the flaw in the alleged proof of arXiv:1107.5929v2
