Abstract
We show that every discrete subgroup of admits a finite dimensional classifying space with virtually cyclic stabilizers. Applying our methods to , we obtain a four dimensional classifying space with virtually cyclic stabilizers and a decomposition of the algebraic -theory of its group ring.
