Circular flow number of Goldberg snarks

Combinatorics 2021-09-08 v1

Abstract

A circular nowhere-zero rr-flow on a bridgeless graph GG is an orientation of the edges and an assignment of real values from [1,r1][1, r-1] to the edges in such a way that the sum of incoming values equals the sum of outgoing values for every vertex. The circular flow number of GG is the infimum over all values rr such that GG admits a nowhere-zero rr-flow. We prove that the circular glow number of Goldberg snark G2k+1G_{2k+1} is 4+1/(k+1)4+1/(k+1), proving a conjecture of Goedgebeur, Mattiolo, and Mazzuoccolo.
