$\chi_{cJ}$ Polarization in Polarized Proton-Proton Collisions at RHIC

Abstract

We study inclusive χcJ\chi_{cJ} production with definite polarizations in polarized proton-proton collisions at s\sqrt{s} = 200 GeV and 500 GeV at RHIC by using non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) color-octet mechanism. We present results of rapidity distribution of χc0\chi_{c0}, χc1\chi_{c1} and χc2\chi_{c2} production with specific polarizations in polarized p-p collisions at RHIC within the PHENIX detector acceptance range. We also present the corresponding results for the spin asymmetries.
