Chebyshev's conjecture and the prime number race

Number Theory 2019-10-22 v1

Abstract

We survey results about prime number races, that is, results about the relative sizes of prime counting functions πq,a(x)\pi_{q,a}(x), with qq fixed and aa varying. In particular, we describe recent work by the authors on these problems.
