Asymptotic Behaviour of fractional seminorms

Analysis of PDEs 2025-11-11 v4 Functional Analysis

Abstract

We obtain asymptotically sharp identification of fractional Sobolev spaces Wp,qs W^{s}_{p,q}, extension spaces Ep,qsE^{s}_{p,q}, and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces F˙p,qs\dot{F}^s_{p,q}. In particular we obtain for Wp,qsW^{s}_{p,q} and Ep,qsE^{s}_{p,q} a stability theory a la Bourgain-Brezis-Mironescu as s1s \to 1, answering a question raised by Brazke--Schikorra--Yung. Part of the results are new even for p=qp=q.
