Abstract
Let be independent nonnegative random variables, not necessarily identically distributed. Let be independent of , and define . We prove that, for every , whenever for every , for all . Thus is a finite-sample, distribution-free -value for testing the null hypothesis for all . This proves a conjecture of Gaffke (2005).
