Adiabatic radiation reaction to the orbits in Kerr Spacetime

Abstract

Geodesic motion of a point particle in Kerr geometry has three constants of motion, energy EE, azimuthal angular momentum LL, and Carter constant QQ. Under the adiabatic approximation, radiation reaction effect is characterized by the time evolution of these constants. In this letter we show that the scheme to evaluate them can be dramatically simplified.
