A non-Archimedean counterpart of Johnson's theorem for discrete groups

Abstract

Let KK be a spherically complete field with a non-Archimedean valuation. We define a new version of KK-amenability for discrete groups and show that the Banach KK-algebra l1(G)l^1(G) is amenable iff GG is KK-amenable in our sense.
