Abstract
A description of the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra and also of its deformed analogue in terms of a new set of generators, called Green generators, is given. These generators are very different form the well known Chevalley generators. Mathematically the Green generators are the root vectors, corresponding to the positive and the negative orthogonal roots. Physically, they consist of pairs of (deformed) para-Bose operators and pairs of (deformed) para-Fermi operators.
